Tizoc Rosales is the Director of Advancement for the Saint Paul Seminary and the Saint John Vianney College Seminary in Minnesota. As he tells us he’s not in the business of forming priests, he is in the business of forming MEN. Young men, Tizoc and I have a message for you. You’ve lived through some things and seen some things that have caused you to pause. You’ve seen the institutions we thought were stable fall away. 9-11 and other recent events have forever changed us. It’s time for your generation to turn to God. Men you are standing in the breach between the devil and your family. Be a man with a disciplined prayer life. Be a contemplative thinking holy thoughts throughout the day. Put on sacramentals. Read the Bible daily. Go to Mass every week. Quit making excuses and be a man! Jesse Romero joins me this week and together we are going to give you some tools to take into spiritual battle with you!

I often share my testimony of my return to the Catholic faith. This week Keith Nester joins me and we have a great discussion about both of our conversions. Keith was raised a United Methodist pastors kid and became a pastor himself. As he became more engaged in his faith he encountered a number of Catholics who showed him the true beauty of the Catholic faith. Keith became inundated with books, videos, and other material that simply blew his mind. Catholicism got him and he eventually converted to the Catholic faith. Once he abandoned himself he was locked into that wave, ready for the ride of his life. I love this guy and can’t wait for you to hear how he has totally sold out his heart for Jesus!

Do you realize every one of us is meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus? I get it….life gets a little uncomfortable, it doesn’t seem to fit, we take ourselves too seriously and we end up missing out on the simplicity of what it means to give our lives to Jesus and experience the infusion of his love and his truth. My Cajun friend, Karlo Broussard joins me this week to discuss how to be in the world…..but not of the world. We need to learn how to properly order our goods in our lives. Let me tell you, pleasure and material goods will not last forever. Remember memento mori. We are going to die. We must ensure we possess the ultimate good. One that never will pass…a relationship with God.

This week I welcome back Long Ride Home cast member Grady Dyke. Grady never realized a simple ride to the Big Bend with a group of Catholic men would turn into something greater. Riding in a pack with men he had never met before taught Grady unity and trust. We quickly learned that men can grow in their faith by working together and challenging one another to attain greatness. Want to learn how? You’ve probably heard people talk about hearing this small voice. I bet you’ve wondered how exactly do we hear that still small voice within each of us? We have to be quiet.
